Was anyone's check late this week?

The EDD automated message said that my check was issued on Wednesday, the 23rd. Today's the 26th and I still haven't received it yet. Did anyone encounter the same problem?

I'm not in Cali but I did see a delay this week in my direct deposit. Do you get a check or direct deposit? Also how late is it from when you would normally receive your payment? If its just one day I wouldn't worry about it all.

Yes, my check has not arrived either as of today 3/26 and I talked to EDD yesterday and they said my check had been mailed out 3/23! I am starting to freak, glad I'm not the only one who hasn't received their check yet!

My check was on time this week. I normally receive my checks on Sat. and it came in the mail just a few hours ago.

I am in the San Francisco area. We have been getting lots of rain here but I wouldn't think that would cause a 3 day delay in receiving my check. I hate literally waiting at my mailbox in anticipation. I even tracked down my mailman earlier today and asked him to double check his bag. How depressing......

I am in the Sacramento area. Usually my checks come on Thursday or Friday at the latest. The good news is we are not the only ones, right Fred?

I'm wondering if the checks are mailed out by region and N. California's region somehow were mailed out late.

I'm amazed at how dependable EDD has been for me in sending out checks. I've been receiving checks for well over a year, and they have come on Sat. like clockwork, except for weeks when there were holidays. I live in a large apartment building and I was always afraid that the mailman would put my check in the wrong box down in the lobby, as sometimes has happened with other mail, but it has never happened with my checks. That would be one possibility if either of you live in apartments.

They've always been on time for me as well. This is the first time in a year mine's been late!

Tom, out of curiousity, what date was your check mailed on? Do you still have the envelope?

It was mailed on Mar. 24 from ZIP 95691, which is the Sacramento area.

JenJen, are you kidding? EDD offices are located in Sacramento, so your check should have come on Thursday if it actually was mailed on Wednesday. Same with me. Well it's a relief to hear that we aren't the only ones experiencing this. I was worried it was lost or something. And if that were the case, I have to wait 10 business day to file for another check. Sheesh, I wish CA would get with Direct Deposit. This check mailing system is so 1990's.

My check has been late since last June, that's when my benefits ran out.
