Reid playing for leverage with jobs bill

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has made it clear that he will not schedule a vote on President Obama’s jobs package until after the upper chamber moves a China currency bill that the administration does not support.

Reid is wielding a significant amount of leverage with the White House on the China legislation, which is unlikely to be signed into law in the 112th Congress. Yet passing the bill through the Senate — which is expected to happen next month — would help Democratic incumbents on the campaign trail, where China-bashing usually resonates.

Everyone is campaigning ONLY already!! More and more I believe absolutely NUTTIN will get done. Who can wait 14 plus months??? MAD

I can't wait! Many of us have been without benefits or any other income for over a year and a half, and without a job for over 3 and a half years!!

Hopefully this OccupyWallStreet movement, that is rapidly spreading across the country, can shake things up. Unfortunately, it won't happen over night, and we are just about out of time.

Maybe an "Unemployed Friends Commune"?

It would be lovely to meet all our Members, I agree. But sadly, the Unemployed Friends Commune sounds like it may be a necessary evil. If they start springing up all over the country, maybe we will get attention, particularly if we set them up the in State Capitals.
