Resume-writing after a long work absence

A slow recovery from the recession can mean a prolonged absence from the job market, causing a work gap on your resume. How you go about addressing it can mean the difference between landing a job and landing at the bottom of the resume heap.

Excellent advice. I actually have created a reverse chronological version of my resume and its yielded more feedback these past few months. Still haven't landed a job but its catching eyes.

There was excellent advice. If you have contract assignments, group them all together. I also agree with functional and hybrid version. You don't have to list every permanent or contract job, being relevant is whats is important.
